Abstract

Abstract Photovoltaic is one of the most popular clean energy applications to provide electricity using the sun’s power. This technology is more rapidly developed worldwide for power generation utility and building integration. It has a very substantial role to play in the global energy landscape and in the environmental strategies. It’s commonly known that, the energy produced by PV panels differs from place to another. Several studies have investigated the performance of different PV technologies and systems according to atmospheric conditions like temperature, solar radiation, wind, rain and dust. In fact, realistic performance assessment in actual outdoor conditions is very central to evaluate cost effectiveness, reliability and environment durability of the PV system. This study aims to evaluate the performance of three different grid-connected power systems, operating in an institutional building in Agadir, Morocco. The focus is on the assessment of measured energy output under real operating conditions. The key contribution of this study is to provide useful information to local investors, researchers and interested individuals about small grid connected PV systems in Agadir and near regions.
