Abstract

Films of CdS and CdS:Na were formed by the chemical bath deposition technique and were given a post-preparation treatment under a vacuum of 10 -5 Torr. The photothermoelectric effect was investigated in these films. The effects of temperature and the intensity of excitation by white light on the thermoelectric power α, n and μ have been investigated. An attempt has been made to discover the type of scattering involved in the photoconducting process.
