Abstract

In tumor therapy there will presumably exist an optimum of the optical dose rate and the photosensitizer dose. This work discusses the PRT of Lewis lung carcinomas in mice performed at low optical power levels combined with rather high doses of photosensitizer. The light and temperature dosimetry is of great importance in phototherapy, consequently those parameters have been monitored during the irradiation period. Equally important is the drug dosimetry. Reported values of administered drug concentrations vary over almost two orders of magnitude 1.
