Abstract
The blackening of low-energy tracks in nuclear emulsions is determined by a photometric method. Results area discussed and it is shown how a value for the resolved track area may be obtained. Finally it is shown that by an appropriate analysis of photometric profiles, corresponding to slits of increasing width, the error introduced by the light scattered in the emulsion may be eliminated.
