Abstract

AbstractWe have investigated photoluminescence (PL) dynamics in CuCl thin films under high‐density one‐ and two‐photon excitations for excitonic states. Using the optical Kerr gate method, the formation and decay processes of biexctions were observed, and the time‐dependent effective temperature was evaluated. We also observed the SHG signals for the excitation laser pulses under the two‐photon excitation. However, we could not observe the PL band due to exciton‐exciton scattering processes (so‐called P emission) under any experimental conditions because of the high thermal stability of biexcitons in CuCl thin films (© 2012 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
