Abstract
Background: Allahyarlu basalt is a part of Allahyarlu anticline with approximately east west trend located at northwest Iran. These basalts consists most volume of the igneous rocks of the study area. Methods: According to the whole rock analysis of 7 basaltic samples (with 2 peridotite samples) and geotectonic diagrams, this basalts have the calc-alkaline series features, and have island arc and volcanic arc features that are indicative of the two seduction zones that based on metamorphic belt position in the north-side of the ophiolite melange unite, seduction dip approximately, was northward Results: Periodontitis that have harzburgites composition (under a microscope) and lherzolite (based on geochemical data), are part of the seduction periodontitis, Conclusion: probably during seduction and hydration of periodontitis underwent serpentinization phenomenon and high-density variance then adjacent rocks and being lighter, moved up to higher levels and by operation of Allahyarlu fault, have found outcrops.
