Abstract

Metastatic cancer to the ovary is not a rare entity although sometimes the site of origin may remain undetected. Ovarian metastasis in patients dying of malignant melanoma is not uncommon in autopsy findings, but the clinical manifestation of this condition is extremely rare. In this report we present a case of malignant melanoma of the skin metastatic to the ovary leading to a clinical picture of peritonitis.
