Abstract

A nonlinear driven RLC circuit is investigated experimentally. Using a special sampling unit Poincaré plots and bifurcation diagrams are produced directly on the oscilloscope. The results are summarized in a two-dimensional phase diagram and are compared with a mathematical model, the driven Toda oscillator.
