Abstract

AbstractPurpose To present Periocular Cosmesis & Facial Dynamic Procedures, that can be performed in severe and refractory facial nerve palsy cases.Methods Didactic course lectureResults Facial reanimation using dynamic procedures is a multidisciplinary rehabilitative type of management which may be undertaken in longstanding and severe facial nerve palsy. This management includes facial nerve repair, facial nerve substitution and temporalis muscle transfers. Peri‐ocular aesthetic issues need to be addressed in severe and refractory facial nerve palsy cases. Brow lift, midface lift and facial lift can be performed to improve functionality and cosmesis.Conclusion These procedures can provide a moderate to significant degree of improvement in facial nerve functionality and periocular cosmesis
