Abstract

Previous literature shows that women of color have adverse birth outcomes as compared to white women. It has been hypothesized that these outcomes result from socioeconomic differences. We sought to explore differences in perinatal outcomes by race/ethnicity among individuals with Medicaid insurance as such individuals are likely to have similar economic circumstances.
