Abstract

A self-consistent theory of perimeter magnetoplasmons in tunneling-ring semiconductor superlattices is used to calculate the linear response of electrons to an external perturbation. A new perimeter magnetoplasmon branch is found as a result of electron tunneling in the superlattice direction. Intrasubband excitation with angular quantum numbers is studied in a tight-binding approximation. The tunneling-perimeter magnetoplasmon branch should be experimentally observable.
