Abstract

The characteristics and the performance of SRRC 1.3 GeV electron booster synchrotron are described in this report. Operation parameters, such as synchrotron tune, betatron tune, momentum compaction factor, betatron function, chromaticity etc. were measured at injection energy, 50 MeV, DC mode; and compared with calculated results at a tune of v x = 4.40, v y = 2.43. The tune drift and the bunch length variation of accelerated beam have been studied. The energy spread and the beam emittance variation during ramping were derived. The diagnostics instrumentation used in this experiment was described. Comparison between experimental results and theoretical expectations is presented.
