Abstract

The present study was initiated to find out the effect of integrated nutrient management on kinnow mandarin planted at three different spacing levels of 6 m x 6 m, 6 m x 5 m and 6 m x 4 m, treated with three different levels of fertilizers viz. 75% N (inorganic) + 25%N (FYM); 50% inorganic + 50% (FYM) and 100% inorganic only. Maximum plant height, canopy volume, canopy surface area, canopy foot print and trunk cross sectional area was observed under low density planting (6 m × 6 m) and minimum under high density (6 m × 4 m). Similarly, number of fruits per tree, fruit weight (g) and fruit yield (kg/tree) were observed higher with low density planting (6 m × 6 m), while, fruit yield (tons/ha) and productive efficiency were higher with high density plantation (6 m × 4 m). Moreover, plant growth and yield parameters were found higher with the application of recommended nitrogen (N) having 75%N as inorganic and 25% N through FYM. So this study helped to optimize best planting distance along with integrated nutrient management in Kinnow for high yield.
