Abstract

ABSTRACT The present work exhausts the growth of a novel method for the removal of chromium ion from industrial wastewater using polyaniline-itaconic acid-copper oxide nanocomposites. Structural elucidation of nanocomposite was studied by FT-IR, SEM/EDX, XRD, and TGA. TEM analysis show an egg and oval shape with high resolution of 20 nm of CuO NPs. The paramagnetic behavior was obtained at 61.5 emu/g using VSM techniques. The maximum removal capacity 250 mg/g and KF 82.66 mg/g haswas calculated using adsorption isotherm. The various parameters such as pH, adsorbent, contact time, and concentration were also carried out.
