Abstract

In low-rate wireless wideband communication, the communication system should be highly resistant to frequency selective fading and interference with characteristics of low power and low complexity. However, traditional carrier with time-bandwidth product \( BT = 1 \) is hard to match with the channel environment. To address these problems, in this paper, we combine the chirp spread spectrum (CSS) with cyclic shift keying (CSK) modulation. Based on the chirp carriers, the time delay modulation and its improved chirp cyclic shift modulation are proposed. The bandwidth efficiency and energy efficiency are given with detailed analysis. The performance comparison with traditional MFSK is also presented in this paper.
