Abstract

The Super-ALIS is a compact superconducting storage ring, fully dedicated to LSI fabrication, that employs a 15-MeV injection scheme. Several techniques have been developed for this system to increase the stored current at 600 MeV. We have achieved current storage of more than 200 mA using these techniques. Our experiments prove that ion trapping is a major factor in limiting large current storage in this low-energy injection scheme.
