Abstract

MANET (Mobile Ad hoc Network) is a self-constituting network of mobile nodes connected by wireless links. Hosts rely on each other to keep the network connected. It represent complex distributed systems that comprise wireless mobile nodes that can freely and dynamically self-organize into arbitrary and temporary, ad-hoc network topologies, allowing people and devices to seamlessly internetwork in areas with no pre-existing communication infrastructure. This paper presents a comprehensive study on performance issues of routing protocols in wireless networks.
