Abstract

Needle aponeurotomy (percutaneous needle fasciotomy) for Dupuytren's contracture can be performed in the office setting with local anesthesia. It is simple and inexpensive and has a low complication rate and rapid recovery compared with open fasciectomy. It can usually be repeated safely and effectively for recurrent disease.
