Abstract

The reaction of (CF 3COO)Ag with LiR gives [Bu 4N][AgR 2] (R = C 6F 5 or C 6Cl 5). The latter react with acids HX to give organoargentated(I) derivatives of the types [Bu 4N][AgRX] (X = CH 3COO, CF 3COO or 8-oxyquinolate) or [Bu 4N] 2{[Ag(C 6-F 5)] 2BiBzIm} (BiBzIm = bibenzimidazolate), whilst the reaction with silver salts AgX yields [Bu 4N]{[Ag(C 6F 5)] 2X} (X = NO 3 or CF 3COO) or AgR (X = ClO 4).
