Abstract

Technology is a design for action aids in which to reduce uncertainty about cause-and-effect relationships to achieve something that is expected. This study discusses the assessment of the contribution of technology components to improve the competitive position of glass entrepreneurs in Arosbaya. These three small industries, namely MSME Serasi Art Glass, MSME Ismael Bidi and MSME Barokah are both glass arts businesses located in Arosbaya. Small industries such as MSME Serasi Art Glass can easily lose out to large industries and other small industries that already have better skills and work patterns. In taking measurements using the technometric method which consists of four technology components including technoware, humanware, infoware and orgaware which can map problems that can hinder the development of a small business and can provide solutions in the form of improvement strategies so that Serasi Art Glass SMEs can develop well. The contribution value shows the weakest components of Serasi Art Glass SMEs, namely humanware and orgaware. The TCC values obtained for each component are 0.38, 0.45 and 0,44.
