Abstract
This research aims to improve students' abilities and competencies in developing textbooks that are more innovative, creative and interesting so that students can easily understand them. This research uses a type of development research using the 4D development model. The results found in this study are: Development of a Local Language and Literature Textbook “Bo' Sangaji Kai” Using the Anticipation Guide Strategy for STKIP Yapis Dompu Students using the Four-D development model is in the “GOOD” category, this is evidenced by six criteria for a good learning device, namely: (a) Valid according to the validator, (b) Effective for the lecturer's ability to manage learning in class, (c) Effective for student activities in carrying out learning activities in class, (d) Positive response students to learning activities, (e) Valid, reliable, and sensitive for the Learning Outcomes Test, and (f) classical learning completeness has been achieved. Thus, the learning tools developed can be declared "FEASIC" to be used in the learning process in Appreciation courses Poetry of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program STKIP Yapis Dompu.
