This research was motivated by the low ability of second-grade autistic students at SLB Negeri 2 Pasuruan City to recognize and correctly name body parts. The main focus of the research was to evaluate the effect of using Canva-based animated posters on improving these competencies. Using a quantitative approach with the Single Subject Research (SSR) method through an A-B-A design, the research stages included initial observation, intervention, and ability evaluation. Data were collected through a performance test instrument that was measured repeatedly. The results showed a significant improvement in the subjects' abilities; in the initial baseline phase (A1), the average score was only 27.5%, then jumped to 64.2% during the intervention phase (B), and remained stable and high in the second baseline phase (A2) with an average of 76.6%. These findings demonstrate that dynamic visual media can attract attention and facilitate cognitive information processing in children on the autism spectrum. The main conclusion states that integrating animated posters into learning is very effective in helping students recognize body parts in a concrete and enjoyable way. This innovation makes a significant contribution to the development of adaptive instructional media in special schools, while also demonstrating that a structured visual approach can bridge communication and understanding barriers for students with special needs, optimally supporting their independent self-identification in an inclusive, integrated, and comprehensive formal education environment.

 • Journal of Marine Medical Society
 • Parliraghavan Ravi + 1 more

Background: Care bundles are an effective means of reducing catheter-associated urinary tract infection (CAUTI) when they are implemented with high impact interventions. Care bundle approach only works when every element of the bundle is implemented for every appropriate patient, every time and with high impact. Aim: This study aims to study the efficacy of CAUTI Care Bundle and of infection control nurse (ICN) in reducing the incidence of CAUTI in a zonal hospital. Materials and Methods: The study was with an initial baseline phase (observational) of 8 months followed by an intervention Phase of 21 months. The intervention phase was further divided into intervention Phase I (8 months) and intervention Phase II (13 months). Intervention Phase I included a multidimensional approach of education and training of health-care staff for catheter management and prevention of CAUTI and implementation of catheter care bundle. In intervention Phase II education of health-care workers and implementation of catheter care bundle was done under constant supervision and guidance of ICN. Results: We recorded a total of 834 urinary catheter days: 309 in baseline phase, 314 in intervention Phase I, and 211 in intervention Phase II. It was found that the incidence rate of CAUTI, measured as episodes per 1000 catheter days is 64.72 in baseline phase, 25.47 in intervention Phase I, and 18.95 in intervention Phase II. The catheter care bundle approach along with education of the staff reduced the CAUTI incidence by 60.64 and when the same was applied under the constant supervision of ICN for the CAUTI reduction rate was clinically significant with 70.72. Conclusions: The catheter care bundle approach along with the education of the staff reduced the CAUTI incidence by 60.64 episodes/1000 catheter days and when the same was applied under constant supervision of ICN for the CAUTI reduction rate was clinically significant with 70.72

Speech delays in four-year-old children can have a significant impact on their language development and well-being. This research, therefore, aims to determine the effect of audio flashcard media in improving vocabulary mastery in children with speech delay aged four years. This research used a quantitative approach with a single subject research (SSR) type of research and employed an A-B research design. The subject in this study was a four-year-old child with speech delay who was identified as not having mastered much vocabulary well. Data on vocabulary mastery abilities in the baseline and intervention phases were obtained through observation. Data analysis used descriptions of images obtained from graphic analysis by paying attention to changes in levels or trends. Changes in the stability of the intervention phase (B) and baseline phase (A) exhibited changes in the stability trend from variable to variable. The change in the level of the baseline phase condition (A) in the last session (82.5) and the first session of the intervention condition (B) was (70). It can be concluded that the change in level in the intervention phase (B) to the baseline phase (A) was an increase (+12.5). The research results indicate that changes in levels or trends have increased. This denotes that providing learning using audio flashcard media influences children's ability to master vocabulary, and the use of audio flashcard media can be an effective method in helping children who experience speech delays to develop their vocabulary
