Abstract

Abstract: The researchers aim to write this scientific article as a concrete step in an effort to meet the needs and develop reading comprehension skills through the use of QR Code-based Smart Box media. The research method used by researchers is a quantitative approach with the research design used being quasi-experimental. The aim of this research is to obtain information about the influence of the application of QR Code-based Smart Box media before and after learning on the reading comprehension skills of class IV students at SDN Cigugur and to obtain information on the differences between reading comprehension skills with the application of QR Code-based Smart Box media and conventional learning involving 40 students in class IVA totaling 20 students as Experiment class and IVB at SDN 3 Purwawinangun totaling 20 students as Control class selected using purposive sampling technique. Discussion result. proves that there is an influence on students' reading comprehension skills before and after implementing the QR Code-based Smart Box media based on the Paired Sample t-Test statistical test which obtained a Sig value. (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05. In the Independent Sample t-Test statistical test, the Sig value was obtained. (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the average reading comprehension skills of students between the use of QR Code-based Smart Box media and conventional learning. Statistical tests in the study used the IBM SPSS 23 program. Keywords: Reading Comprehension, Smart Box, Indonesian Abstrak: Adapun peniliti memiliki tujuan dalam menulis artikel ilmiah ini sebagai langkah nyata dalam upaya memenuhi kebutuhan dan perkembangan keterampilan membaca pemahaman melalui penggunaan media Smart Box Berbasis QR Code. Metode penelitan yang digunakan peneliti ialah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu quasi eksperiment. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh informasi tentang pengaruh penerapan media Smart Box Berbasis QR Code sebelum dan setelah pembelajaran terhadap keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas IV SDN Cigugur serta memperoleh informasi perbedaan antara keterampilan membaca pemahaman dengan penerapan media Smart Box Berbasis QR Code dan pembelajaran konvensional yang melibatkan 40 orang siswa kelas IVA berjumlah 20 siswa sebagai kelas Eksperimen dan IVB di SDN 3 Purwawinangun berjumlah 20 siswa sebagai kelas Kontrol yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil pembahasan. membuktikkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh terhadap keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa sebelum dan setelah penerapan media Smart Box Berbasis QR Code berdasarkan uji statistika Paired Sample t-Test yang diperoleh nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05. Pada pengujian statistik Independent Sample t-Test diperoleh nilai Sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya perbedaan yang signifikan pada rata-rata keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa antara penggunaan media Smart Box Berbasis QR Code dan Pembelajaran Konvensional.
