Abstract
Based on direct observation, it was found that student learning outcomes in science subjects were still low. This is because the learning model used is still conventional (lecture) without using concrete media. Therefore, various learning models and media are needed according to the characteristics of students so that they can improve learning outcomes. This study aims to identify and analyze the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model assisted by Pop-Up Book media. The method used in this research is classroom action research with a quantitative approach. This study consisted of two cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection activities. The research subjects were the fourth-grade students of SDN Plumpung 1, which consisted of 15 students. In the pre-cycle data, it was found that 5 students were complete in learning with a percentage of 33% of the total number of 15 students. Then in cycle I it increased to 8 students with a percentage of 53%, then experienced a significant increase in cycle II to 13 students who completed with a percentage of 86% in accordance with KKM 70. So, the application of the Project Based Learning learning model assisted by Pop-Up Book media can improve learning outcomes in the Science subject for class IV students at SDN Plumpung 1, Magetan Tagun Regency, 2022/2023 lessons. Based on the research conducted, it was obtained that the average student result was classically 65, then it increased in the first cycle to 67.9 and in the second cycle it increased again to 83.
