Abstract

The abuse of narcotics and illegal drugs is an international crime, narcotics use is often associated with crime, because narcotics are considered to have a negative influence that can cause users to commit crimes. The problems faced are how the government's efforts in enforcing and overcoming narcotics abuse among adolescents and how to enforce the law against narcotics crimes in Indonesia according to Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. This study uses a normative juridical approach, namely by analyzing the problems through the approach of legal principles and referring to legal norms contained in statutory regulations. Based on the results of this research, it is known that efforts to combat crime, namely through the making of laws, are essentially social welfare efforts, that law enforcement against Narcotics crimes according to the Narcotics Law is subject to sanctions with imprisonment, fines, life imprisonment. and other sanctions.
