Abstract

The ability to use devices connected to the internet is now an obligation for all educational practitioners. The internet is used, one of the ways, in a learning management system to support synchronous and asynchronous learning. This paper uses a qualitative approach with a literature review type of research. The research focus discusses the use of internet networks in learning; benefits of internet networks in education; learning management system; and efforts to maximize the use of the internet in education. The research results show that the internet can be a source as well as a learning medium; the internet has positive and negative impacts on education; advantages and disadvantages of learning management systems; and to optimize internet use requires involvement from all parties and stakeholders.
