Abstract

Though British in origin, the scope of END’s European Appeal is pan-European and it has from the start been supported by peace movements throughout Western Europe. This chapter examines recent development of the indigenous peace movements in Western European countries. It does not cover all countries and it has not been possible to refer to all the many hundreds of groups involved in the West European peace movements. Nevertheless some general points can be made.KeywordsNuclear WeaponCommunist PartyGreen PartyFront OrganisationInitiative GroupThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
