Abstract

Background: Most of the patients diagnosed with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) are positive for hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) and / or antibodies to hepatitis C virus (HCVAb) (BC-HCC). However, the frequency of HCC without hepatitis B or C infection (NBNB-HCC) has recently increased. The characteristics of NBNC-HCC remain unclear compared to those of BC-HCC. Retrospective analysis was performed to clarify the characteristics of NBNC-HCC.
