Abstract

Traditional statistical risk models for outcomes following LVAD implant do not consider the temporal transitions between adverse events (AEs). The aim of this study is to identify and characterize common patterns of sequential AEs after LVAD implant. These patterns could then be used to distinguish patient trajectories and modify treatment decisions to improve health outcomes.
