Abstract

Whereas regeneration phenomena of the adrenal cortex after subtotal adrenalectomy or enucleation of the cortico-medullary organ have been well defined in animal experiments, little information is available on corresponding changes in man. These changes are described in four cases: three in situ regenerates after subtotal adrenalectomy and one hyperplastic autotransplant, all of them with recurrent Cushing's syndrome.
