Abstract
Partial unilateral lentiginosis (PUL) is a rare pigmentary disorder characterized by lentigines limited to one side of the body. We describe a patient with PUL associated with a familial goiter. <h3>Report of a Case</h3> A young woman was noted to have hyperpigmented macules distributed over the lower right side of her abdomen and back and her right buttock and thigh at age 5. Family history was negative for ephelides, lentigines, cafe au lait spots, or neurofibromatosis. At age 18 a goiter developed. An aunt also had a history of goiter. The patient's medical history was otherwise negative. Examination revealed moderate thyromegaly. Lentigines were distributed on the right side, from the level of the umbilicus inferiorly to the ankle (Fig 1).
