Abstract

The attitude of parents to the child and the parenting style affect their socialization, emotional state, intelligence and moral development. The article examines the peculiarities of the parenting style that has developed in China and European countries. The article analyzes the postulates of the modern paradigm of parenting in China, which is based on Confucian philosophy and the pedagogical heritage of classical Chinese thinkers, poets and writers who formed the ancient traditions of family education. The priorities transmitted by parents in the process of upbringing are highlighted. The main directions of the interpretation of parental styles in Western Europe are considered: psychoanalytic, behaviorist and humanistic. Classifications of approaches to the education of Russian researchers are also analyzed.
