Abstract

Adding modulo-2 a binary maximum length sequence to its replica delayed by half the maximal length, <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">N</tex> , results in the same sequence but at twice the bit rate. The error in the spectral density of the resulting sequence which is created by delaying the replica by <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">(N/2) + \epsilon</tex> instead of <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">N/2</tex> is examined, and the analytical formulas are derived.
