Abstract
AbstractWe describe design and manufacturing of a multiaperture near‐to‐eye (N2E) display, establish design rules, and discuss relevant properties in comparison with traditional single‐aperture devices. A grating‐coupled waveguide shifts the image laterally toward the eye‐motion box and enables see‐through functionality using the zeroth diffraction order of the outcoupling grating.
