Abstract
Hydrogen bonded crystalline organic salt matrix encapsulates Pd nanoparticles and makes them selective non-pyrophoric catalysts towards reduction of carbon – carbon triple bonds, inhibiting simultaneous C=O reduction. The comparison of the catalytic performance with Pd/C was carried out to show similar catalytic activity of both catalysts towards C=C bonds.
