Abstract

Globally Mongolia is the top country by the incidence of gastric cancer followed by Japan and Korea which are the East Asian countries. Helicobacter pylori infection possessing East-Asian-type CagA is more associated with gastric carcinogenesis. Similar to western countries the characteristic topography of gastric cancer in Mongolia being in the middle and upper part of stomach, differed from East Asian countries which is mainly located in lower part of stomach. Therefore studying H. pylori among Mongolian population is challenging.
