Abstract

Heart Rate Turbulence (HRT) is a strong ECG based risk predictor after acute myocardial infarction (MI). HRT quantifies the baroreflex-mediated oscillation of heart rate following singular ventricular premature complexes (VPC). Blunted HRT indicates high risk for subsequent death. Aim of this study was to search for gender-related differences in HRT.
