Abstract

BACKGROUND CONTEXT: Problems related to anterior cervical fusion (ACF) using autogenous bone, including loss of cervical lordosis and graft subsidence, have yet to be solved. Anterior plating has been used to help minimize these problems. The use of a hydroxyapatite (HA) may provide an excellent alternative to an autogenous bone.
