Introduction: NICE recommends preoperative ultrasound evaluation of the axilla on all patients with breast cancer. This study evaluated our practice of preoperative axillary ultrasound (USS) and ultrasound guided fine needle aspiration cytology (USS-FNAC) at Peterborough City Hospital.
