Abstract

Abstract A description is provided for Ovularia karelii . Information is included on the disease caused by the organism, its transmission, geographical distribution, and hosts. HOST: Onobrychis heliobrychis . DISEASE: Leaf spot of O. heliobrychis . The irregular lesions on the upper side of the leaf consist of numerous minute dark brownish black speckles. Sporulation is known to occur in July. GEOGRAPHICAL DISTRIBUTION: Europe (Austria, Germany). TRANSMISSION: By wind dispersal of air-borne conidia.
