Abstract

PRESENTATION: The patient is a 66-year-old woman who is status post subtotal maxillectomy in 1985 for treatment of an osteogenic sarcoma of the left maxillary sinus. She then received 6,500 cGy of postoperative radiation therapy. She has been without evidence of disease since her treatment. In 1989, she underwent reconstruction of her left zygomatico-orbital deformity with split calvarial bone grafts. She was dissatisfied with her appearance after reconstruction and had significant diplopia requiring the use of prisms to prevent diplopia. She presented in 1991 for evaluation and treatment of her left cheek and orbital deformity (Fig 1).
