Abstract

OSCIL is a FORTRAN program written for BNL's HTGR research group to run on the CDC 7600 computer. It was written to simulate the effects of seismic input on a High Temperature Gas Cooled Reactor (HTGR) core to determine safety standards and licensing regulations. It can also be used more generally for any one-dimensional non-linear mass-spring system. The model is being extended to two-dimensions.
