Abstract

Adopting a positive organizational scholarship (POS) perspective, we develop a theoretical model of the impact of positive leadership on organizational resilience. We take a fine-grained look at organizational resilience in order to describe how positive leadership creates the structural conditions (i.e. a positive infrastructure), which facilitate the processes of organizational resilience. We offer a fresh perspective on organizational resilience by highlighting the under- examined ways in which positive leadership provides organizational members with emotional and cognitive resources and by examining how the resulting collective positive emotions and cognitions fuel the processes of organizational resilience.
