Abstract

Summary Organisation and Self-Organisation in Group Processes at the Example of Assignment-Focusing Group Therapy (AFoG) In this article, the author discusses the concept of self-organisation from a group-therapeutic perspective and applies Schiepek’s generic principles of psychotherapy to the Assignment- Focusing Group Therapy (AFoG). A case vignette shows how self-organisation is achieved through Assignment-Focusing Group Therapy which offers a supportive frame. “Double Perturbation” is the suggested instrument for diagnosing the group process. Scharmer’s concept of learning towards an evolving future (Presencing) is compatible with the concept of AFoG.
