Abstract

This paper proposes a charging strategy for electric vehicle based on load balance aiming at the different timeliness of household electricity consumption and the three phase imbalance of power distribution system caused by charging of electric vehicle. Firstly, the three-phase imbalance of the distribution system is reduced by adjusting the charging time of the electric vehicle, the size of the charging power, and the amount of charging loads inserted to per phase of the power distribution system. Secondly, the bilayer particle swarm optimization algorithm is used to solve the charging strategy. Finally, the simulation study of a residential area is carried out. The results show that the charging strategy proposed in this paper can not only ensure the voltage quality of the distribution system, but also can decrease the three-phase irregularity of the district power distribution system effectively and ensure the stable and reliable operation of the system.
