Abstract

The paper provides a solution to the problem of determining the parameters of the model of the Earth pole motion that are optimal from the point of view of the standard deviation. The choice among the considered models is made according to the most accurate forecast on the different time intervals, and the estimate of the approximation interval duration is given that should be used to determine the unknown model parameters from the observational data
