Abstract

The article shows the relevance of the wide application of mathematical models in various spheres of business, namely in the management of the company's activities. Mathematical modeling is used in economic research. Modeling logistics strategies reflects qualitatively new approaches in enterprise management. Attention is focused on the fact that the economic activity of the enterprise depends on the efficiency of the management of its resource flows. This is a direct factor affecting the efficiency of the enterprise in all its spheres. The scientific approach allows you to transfer the modeling of a commercial enterprise to the mathematical plane. The article presents knowledge about logistics flows, establishes the essence of the main concepts and meanings. From the point of view of the theory of logistics, the category "flow" and the main types of logistics flows, the generalization of the distinctive features of logistics flows, as well as the establishment of the dependence between the performance of logistics functions and the transformation of material flows will be considered. A mathematical model was built and methods of optimization of logistics flows of the trade network were chosen. A solution to the problem of cost minimization was found using a method that is optimal from the point of view of the criteria for meeting the needs of the customer (in this case, the customer is a large retail chain of stores).
