Abstract

Abstract This article provides an introduction to the basic principles of MAG (CO2) welding process is widely used different kind of constructions. This welding process includes terminology, material flow, joint configurations, tool design, materials, welding speed, feed rate and microstructure. Now, we compare the two grades steel of Sheets IRSM 41 COR-TEN A & COR-TEN B steel joining with MAG welding process and their microstructural characteristics, tensile properties, hardness were tested. From the test results have found that the IRSM 41 COR-TEN steels have high tensile strength and hardness. The IRSM 41 COR-TEN steels are more suitable for automobile constructions.
