Abstract

The Harris Hawks Optimizer Method (HHOA), a unique meta-heuristic optimization technique, is proposed as a solution to optimal reactive power dispatch (ORPD) in power systems, including solar power systems, in this research. The ORPD issue can be resolved using a single-objective or multi-objective function. The technique of multi-objective optimization was used in this case. The major goals are to diminish Real power losses and voltage deviations while maintaining technical equality and inequality limitations. This section covers voltage management at generator buses, transformer taps, and compensator ratings for reactive power. For multi-objective optimization, the proposed method is tested using MATLAB software on the IEEE 30 bus system.
