Abstract
In this paper, a bidding strategy model is established to analyze the bidding behavior of the combined-cycle (CC) unit in the day-ahead energy and reserve electricity markets. The CC unit can flexibly change its operation modes, take advantage of the mode transfer characteristics, and adjust the output of the CC unit to maximize its profit. Case studies are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the method.
